Namaste and Welcome Everyone!

As a surgeon born and raised in Nepal's Parbat district, my journey in medicine began with a childhood fascination for surgery. After completing my MBBS in Russia, I returned to Nepal, serving as an MBBS doctor across various hospitals and clinics. Seeking to enhance my skills, I pursued an MD in Russia, followed by a PhD in Cardiac Surgery at Padova University, Italy, and a fellowship in the USA.

In addition to my medical practice, I am deeply involved in social work. As the president of Save the Heart, I have spearheaded hundreds of free health check-up camps all over Nepal. These camps, organized by Save the Heart, aim to reach underserved communities, providing essential medical services and promoting health awareness.

Now back in Nepal, I am dedicated to providing top-notch cardiac care with compassion and expertise, driven by a commitment to uplift my community through healthcare excellence.

Nepal is one of the under develop countries in the world with very low per capita income. For the majority of the Nepalese people Cardiac Surgery is inaccessible. Infant mortality rate in Nepal is 48 in every 1000 children and the child mortality rate 61/1000 children ( Nepali national news agency, 18.june.2009), while in Italy is less than 3/1000 children.
In a population of 30 millions there are only two cardiac centers in the whole country, it is  also very expensive for people from remote villages to come and live in Kathmandu and have Cardiac Surgery treatment. According to the official record of the SGNHC waiting list for operations of Cardiac patients is full for the next 2 years.
Therefore, such missions will help Nepal to further improve her Cardiac Surgery facilities and higher educational facilities. It will enhance the theoretical and practical knowledge of the local specialists, students and at the same time patients will get adequate treatment from experienced specialist from Europe in their own home land at low cost.
So for the near future our missions should focus to make Cardiac services accessible to the people from remote villages of the mountains and Himalayas, together with our Italian friends.
To achieve this, we need more trained specialist and technicians, so we need more diagnostic equipments like Echocardiography, MRI and others, therapeutic equipments like NO machine, ventilators, valves, conduits, devices, and disposables to treat the patients.
